The first Igma-Femina training was held in Vinnytsia (Ukraine) on March 19th, aiming to improve access to the education and gender-sensitive career counselling for migrants and refuges women.
At the first training, the organizers invited representatives from educational institutions, public organizations, employment offices and employers. The project coordinator Sergii Tatusiak welcomed and told participants about the importance of such project implementation in Ukraine and Vinnytsia region particular.
From the 24th until the 26th of January 2018, REVALENTO hosted the Learning Activity for Igma-Femina in Tilburg, the Netherlands.
Researchers and trainers from all partner organisations travelled to Tilburg, The Netherlands, in order to attend the Learning Activity of the Igma-Femina Project. During the Learning Activity the partners presented the material each of them have developed and/or adjusted for the igma femina targer group. Furthemore the host presented the igma femina methodology. Once the workshop was through the steps for the pilot activities in each country were discussed and a strategy on how to recruit the most relevant participants.
The VRD NGO "Ukraine-Poland-Germany" invites counsellors and adult educators to participate in the pilot activities in the frame of the project "Igma-femina" in Ukraine.
4 trainings for 20 participants will be held in Vinnytsia during March-April 2019.
The main topics of the training:
- gender-sensitive counselling for migrant and refugee women as an urgent requirement of our time;
- peculiarities of work with migrant and refugee women;
- regional stakeholder network - effective cooperation between local authorities, employers, educational establishments and civic organizations regarding the integration, education and employment of migrant and refugee women;
- self-improvement, self-development and counteraction to the emotional burnout of counsellors.
Deadline for submitting applications is March 10, 2019.
